If your child loves to sing, Da Capo provides an opportunity for them to share their passion for music with others! The District 196 Music Department, in partnership with District 196 Community Education, is excited to offer a musical learning opportunity for your child. Da Capo is a non-auditioned choir that focuses on vocal technique, music reading and artistic expression in a fun and educational setting. This feeder program will allow students the opportunity to be a part of the District’s Dakota Valley Festival Children’s Choir (DVFCC) next September. Current DVFCC members must take Da Capo Choir during the 2014-15 school year in order to be eligible to sing again in the DVFCC in the FALL of 2015. (More information is available through your school’s music specialist.) Concert January 30, 6:45pm in the Woodland Gym. Denise Nelson, Music Specialist at Woodland Elementary will direct the choir.
