Hour of Code was a great success here at Woodland. We were able to get every student (over 500 kids) in to the lab during this last week. With this, we were a small part of the over 100 million kids across the world who participated as well.
As a school, we participated in Hour of Code as part of Computer Science Education week. The goal was to introduce all students to computer programming and show them that they can learn code and with that knowledge they can help to shape the future!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you, our staff, and our students for supporting this great learning event! I especially want to thank our 5th grade teachers and their students for helping our younger students in the computer lab. Woodland is a great community of learners and I am so proud of the way our students exercised their minds and curiosity. Please enjoy this Flickr album from our event.
