The Woodland Computer Lab is furnished with 33 iMac computers. Classes use the lab to participate in a wide variety of activities, which include:

  • Keyboarding Instruction
  • Word processing
  • Internet research
  • Multimedia projects
  • Instructional drill and practice
  • Databases

Our students are highly engaged because of their ability to interact with 21st Century teaching styles. Kindergarteners through 5th graders are able to challenge themselves using the updated software to enhance projects and learning. Some include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Kidspiration 3, Comic Life, iphoto, imovie, and Garage band to name a few student favorites.

Technology has become a vital component in education. Woodland Elementary students are surrounded with the use of current technology in the classrooms and throughout our school. In addition to the computer lab we have:

  • 2 Mac mini labs
  • LCD Projectors in each classroom
  • SMART Boards in the classrooms
  • Document cameras in eachclassroom to project information from books, paper, video, or to use for media
  • Digital and video cameras available
