Lifetouch Picture Day
Wednesday, September 23rd
Lifetouch will be here to photograph all students on Wednesday, September 23rd.  Order packets will be coming home soon.  
We will be in need of volunteers to help out the photographers.  If you are available to help from either 9:30 - 12:30 or 12:30 - 3:30, please contact denise.vonasek@district196.org.  You will receive a free portrait package for one child.  Thanks!

Destination Imagination News for Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
The Destination Imagination season is starting soon and we'll need parent managers to coach Red Pine's teams.  If you would like more information, you may contact Linda Denmark or Traci McCarthy, look for the yellow flyer and registration form that will go home in Friday Folders tomorrow, or go to the International Destination Imagination website at destinationimagination.org    There will also be an informational meeting in Linda Denmark's classroom, Room 110, on Tuesday, September 22nd, at 5:30 P.M.  All creative problem solvers welcome!  Thanks for your interest in DI!
 
 
FLL Lego League News for Grade 5
The FLL Lego League season is starting soon and we'll need parent managers to coach Red Pine's 5th grade team.  If you would like more information, you may contact Linda Denmark, look for the pink flyer and registration form that will go home with interested 5th graders tomorrow or go to the FLL Lego League website at hightechkids.org   All future engineers are encouraged to apply!  Thanks for your interest in FLL Lego League!

Join us for our first meeting of the year! We will work on planning future Health & Wellness events for Red Pine. (Our first event, Red Pine Kickball Night, was a great success!) We will meet in the Media Center. Anyone who is interested can attend.

They had vomit/diarrhea within the past 24 hours.
They have not been fever free (below 100°) for 24 hours.
They have strep throat and have not been on an antibiotic for 24 hours.
They have an unidentified rash.

Just a reminder, order forms and money are due on Monday, 9/21.  Please make sure to include your phone number on the order form to get a delivery reminder call and text message.
***Also, your products will need to be picked up at Red Pine on Tuesday, 10/6.  This will be the ONLY pick up date, so if you cannot be there, please arrange for someone else to pick up your product. All products not picked up, will be returned to the vendor.
If you don’t want to purchase any products, you can still help out by submitting a check to : ‘Red Pine PTO’ in its place.

Box Tops for Education® is one of the nation’s largest school fundraising loyalty programs and has been helping schools succeed since 1996. Did you know that our school participates in this program? Last year Red Pine received over $1,700 from the program because of families like YOU that cut out your BOX TOPS and brought them to school. With over 250 participating products, it’s an easy way for our school to earn cash. Check it out here:http://www.boxtops4education.com/participating-products.

Are you looking for out of school time activities for your child or maybe an activity for yourself?  District 196 Community Education offers a wide variety of educational enrichment experiences. There are also early childhood and adult basic skills learning opportunities. Look for non-school day, after school, evening and weekend activities throughout the school year. Catalogs are distributed three times per year and are mailed to your home.  Additional program brochures and flyers can be found in Friday backpacks throughout the year. Class samplings include:  Gymnastics lessons, martial arts, orchestra experiences, swimming lessons, language classes, arts and crafts, STEM programming, theater, parenting, high school diploma, GED preparation classes and more!  Click here (www.district196.org/ce) to browse through the many offerings available.
