In years past, we’ve been lucky to have a well-attended and profitable book fair. It is a lot of fun for Red Pine Families and Staff.
Some highlights for this year’s B&N Book Fair:
*Gift your teacher a book from his/her wishlist for the classroom library
*Visit with Big Red and Mr. Goeldner who will visit the around 5:00
*Enter one the prize drawings for students who attend and another for all RP students
*Lots of wonderful books to choose from for readers of all ages
If you cannot attend, there will be an online code available the day of the book fair and for a few days after. Online sales with a code will add to our in-store proceeds and will be credited to Red Pine. Last year we earned more that $2,000 for books for our RP Library and Classrooms.
Looking forward to another wonderful B&N Book Fair,
B&N Book Fair Chair

Greetings Red Pine Cardinal Families!
The cold weather is upon us. Colds, Flu, fevers, outdoor fun.
General Practice for keeping your child at home when he or she is ill:
-- Fever of 100 degrees or more, the student shall stay home for 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal without fever reducing medications such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen. If your child has a fever at 3 pm on Tuesday and at 10:00 pm he does not have a fever, your child is still recommended to stay home until 3:00 pm on Wednesday ~~ 24 hours from the last temperature recorded without medication. If they wake up at 3 am and you give them Tylenol for a fever, and they feel great at 7 am, they are recommended to stay home.
-- If a student has vomited or had diarrhea – 24 hours from the last episode it is recommended the child stays home.
-- If a child has an unknown rash – please have a doctor or NP fax me a note stating it is not a contagious rash.
Dress for the weather – layers. They will be going outside.
Continue to encourage water and enough sleep.
You may access Health Hero Videos on the Red Pine Website. Your child may enjoy seeing their classmates talk about Healthy Minds/ Healthy Bodies. Click on this link and it should bring you to the School Nurse Page at Red Pine. Right hand side – have your kids watch the videos. More to be added.
Have a great weekend and stay healthy.
