Health & Wellness Committee Meeting
Please join us for our next Health & Wellness Committee Meeting on Monday, November 16! We will meet in the Red Pine Media Center at 6:00.
There are a number of cases of:
PINK EYE - Click the link below for information about it.
If your child is diagnosed with strep, pneumonia, or any spreadable infection please email me at Danna.Steffen@district196.org. I keep track to see if we are having a rise in certain infections. Thanks so much and have a healthy day!
Stay home if:
Vomiting or diarrhea (should be free from diarrhea and vomiting and fever for 24 hours before returning to school)
Severe coughing or difficulty breathing
Open sores on mouth
Skin rash or red eye from undetermined cause
Head lice and scabies, until treatment complete
Any contagious conditions such as strep throat, impetigo, chickenpox, pertussis, mumps, hepatitis-A, measles, rubella, shingles or herpes simplex (length of time home depends on the illness and the child’s response to the treatment they are receiving. Always notify me of contagious illness and I will notify potentially exposed classmates.)
You know your child better than anyone. If they don’t look like they are going to be able to participate in the classroom activities, keep them home for a day of rest and recovery. When they return make sure the teacher or I have accurate contact information for you.
Thank you for your help with keeping our Red Pine students healthy and please call me with concerns.
The next Parent-Teacher Organization meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 12 at 6:30pm in the Red Pine Media Center. We hope to see you there!
