Our goal at Northview is to offer each student the opportunity to grow and achieve their potential. Students are invited to participate in many unique activities and programs.

Service Learning

Service Learning is a method of teaching and learning that enriches the student’s life by engaging him/her in meaningful hands-on service
to address real-life needs in the community while also gaining valuable knowledge and skills that connect with classroom studies. Service-Learning is a proven educational technique that facilitates a student’s growth in academics, social maturity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration and leadership skills. (Michigan Learn and Serve Study, Meyer, Hofschire, and Billing, 2004).

Young Scholars

A rigorous and fun academic program designed for students with high potential who are not likely to be identified for gifted programs using traditional methods of identification. These students are innovative, creative, and critical thinkers who, with support, will more likely pursue advanced coursework in middle and high school.

Destination Imagination

Volunteer led creative problem-solving teams for grades 2-5. Teams meet from early October through May.

Student Council

Students in 5th grade have the opportunity to participate in monthly Student Council meetings. Student Council is responsible for providing leadership to school events, plan spirit days and provide leadership for our Service Learning Family Fun Night.

First Lego League

Robotics - First Lego League is a volunteer-led introduction for  students to take part in real-world engineering challenges by building Lego-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface.

Family Fun Nights

Family Fun Nights are wonderful community nights at our school.  In the past we have had playground night, sledding/bonfire night and game nights.  These  nights are free, relaxed and truly enjoyable!
