School History

Design History

The school site was originally fish farming ponds, an area of about 2.3 hectares. As Zhongli City’s Neili District industry, commerce, traffic, and population grew, students needed a school that was more conveniently located; also, crossing the railroad tracks was dangerous for the children. Thanks to lobbying from local prominent families, permission was obtained to establish a school.

In our first year of operation in 1980, as Taoyuan County Tzu Chiang Junior High School, we recruited 7 classes of 320 students in total. Beginnings were hard, but thanks to Principal Peng and all teachers and staff, the school grew and gained a firm footing. Over time, new school buildings were added, and we moved back to the new site, which now houses 16 classes of more than 700 students altogether.
