The sun is 92.96 million miles from Earth. The reason we can feel the heat of the sun because it is around 9932^oF on the surface.

Fun Fact 2

Pluto was found in the 1930s, on the very edge of our known solar system. In 2006, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) demoted Pluto from a regular planet to a dwarf planet because of several factors.
