John Dunbar & Agnes Fraser

John Dunbar occupation Wright (Carpenter) was born 3rd February 1798 his father Alexander Dunbar born 1753 and his mother Jean/Jane Cook born 1766. 
John was the 4th born of 5 to Alexander and Jean/Jane.

His wife Agnes Fraser born 1797 in Urray, daughter of David Fraser and Catherine Urquhart.

John and Agnes were married on 26th November 1822. They had a family of 8 all born Forres Morayshire Scotland.

Sarah born 1824 married David MacKenzie born 1826 Sutherland Creich. Children a daughter & sons John and Alexander both apprentice printers

Jane born 1826 married William Tulloch

Alexander born 6 December 1828 died 8 December 1906 age 77yrs. Buried 008 Plot 102 Terrace End Cemetery Palmerston North New Zealand. His plot was purchased by his brother David. Alexander was a farmer at Colyton. 
In 1876 the Dunbar brothers Alexander & David were first settlers to the Manchester Block Feilding where they farmed from 1879 -1881 at Ettrickdale Turakina.
In 1880 Alexander was a witness to his sister Isabella Dunbar marriage to Thomas Munro at Turakina.
In 1893 Alexander is enrolled in Rangitikei Electorate residential address Manchester occupation Settler.

John born 1830 occupation Merchant in 1861
 
David born 1834 died 1 August age 89yrs. Buried 007 Plot 054 Terrance End Cemetery Palmerston North New Zealand. His plot was purchased by Agnes Tennant (assume she was a relative). 
He arrived in New Zealand on 'Geelong'. In 1923 he married Mary McNamara born c 1832 before coming to New Zealand. 
A son William Dunbar born c1863 in China married Eliza Rowe born 1866. His son William Dunbar born 1888 married Ellen Rydzewski and their daughter Margaret Rydzewski married Donald Duff.
David was a farmer at Awapuni.

Agnes born 1837 died 6 February 1905 WellingtonNew Zealand. She married 28 July 1864 William Henry Skinner born 4 April 1837.  Agnes arrived New Zealand about 1859 was cook to the Atkinson's at Hurworth New Plymouth.

   Agnes Skinner born 1867 married John Anderson in 1897. 
   Daisy Reade Skinner married Vincent Mead.
   Charles John Dunbar (Jock) Skinner born 1869 married Aggie Speedy
   David Frazer Skinner born 1872 married Clara Larsen
   Robert Stokes Skinner born 1874 married Louise Chettleburgh
   Harry (Henry) Skinner born 1877 died Natal South Africa 3rd July 1900
   James MacAdam Skinner born 1880 married Grace Brunton Burness in 1908 South Africa. Children Thelma born 1909 and Audrey born 1910.

Catherine born 1840 died 1931 in Hastings New Zealand and is buried Old Napier Cemetery with her husband Thomas. In 1870 she married  Thomas Peddie  born 1838 in North Lieth Scotland and died 5th January 1909 in Hastings New Zealand. They had three sons and two daughters.
    
Alexander Dunbar Peddie born 1874 died 1920 Taradale Hastings. He married Myrtle Gladys Louise Prosser they are both buried Park Island Cemetery       Napier. They had a daughter Muriel Isabel Peddie.
   
Thomas Bertram Peddie born 21 November 1879 died 1912. 
  
 James Alastair Dunbar Peddie married Joan Francis Rees in 1937. He died 1945 WW2 and is buried C'Wealth War Graves.

Edith Agnes Peddie married John Anderson Miller

Isabella born 1843 married Thomas Munro born Contin Ross shire Scotland. 
Family lived Mangaweka New Zealand.


John Dunbar and Agnes are buried Pilmuir Morayshire.
