History of Mammalian pests on Great Barrier Island

This island has fewer mammalian pests than the mainland. They are:-
Ship rats (Rattus rattus)
Pacific rats
Goats- (Capra hircus) recently eradicated
Wallabies - a small and deliberate infestation which was quickly dealt with.
Monkey - a single visitor in 1847, it was only here for a couple of days.
Fitches - brought here illegally by a visitor who walked ashore with two of them. It led to a change in the law making it illegal to keep them as pets. 
Fallow Deer - (Cervus dama) Recently eradicated from Kaikoura Island.
