Text Sets

CCSS/SBAC ELA Rubrics all on one page

To prepare our students for the new and rigorous MEA
assessment, EVERY student must have many opportunities to develop the skills they need to achieve proficiency.  The Text Set work was led by Sharon Marchi and developed by our grade 3-8 ELA teachers.   They selected the Text Sets, collected the companion resources and created shared formative assessments that emphasize a higher level of cognitive skills than was previously expected.

Both the Text Sets and the Units of Study work support our goal of continuous improvement of instruction that accelerates our

students’ literacy development.

SBAC Sample Question Types guided the Fall 2014 work.  The Fall 2014 materials and products are linked below.  You may access if the documents have been shared with you.
