 The Tomorrow Project is s a work-readiness program of Catholic Charities, Diocese of San Diego for homeless women. They provide individualized work-readiness training They would love to have a couple volunteers on a consistent basis to help them get on the technology bandwagon—that is, using e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, and perhaps even improve their Website

St. Vincent de Paul School
Mission Hills 
 St. Vincent's would like one OLP student to work with the older students  from 3-4 pm in the Bishop Flores Media Center and one student to work with the little kids in Mercy Hall.  Students who are interested should plan on serving one day a week.

Home Start Thrift Boutique

Ongoing Commitment  
3611 Adams The Home Start Thrift Boutique is up and running and could use some great volunteers. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm and is located on Adams Ave in the Kensington/Normal Heights area. We have individual volunteers who help in the store front as well as in the storage area helping prep donated items.

Volunteers need to be at least 16 years old and will need to provide proof of a TB test and fill out an application.  Students must be committed to working at least a couple hours each week.   Contact Kristina:  klisica@home-start.org
Via International  Either at our location in Barrio Logan or Cloud based VolunteeringVia International in San Diego focuses on Community Revitalization and Immigration on the U.S. Mexico Border.

After School any day of the week
 Blessed Sacrament School and Pre-SchoolBlessed Sacrament Parish School and Preschool could use afternoon volunteers to assist extended day teachers with games and activities until 6:00 pm with grades K-8. Preschool serves ages 2-5.

The school could also use after school tutors, age and subject vary by need, usually grades 3-8.

Volunteers are needed for Running Readers and Homework Tutoring.  Students will work with children who are in need of homes   Contact Jana at jzawadzki@chworks.org to get more information. All of our volunteers need to apply online, submit a Basic Live Scan, and attend an orientation and training.
