DO YOU NEED HELP INTERPRETING FINANCIAL  AID PACKAGE INFORMATION?  With financial aid packages arriving from schools in the form of award letters, parents and students are starting to look at real numbers in terms of the cost of college. There are lots of different types of aid and loans. The information can be confusing and a bit overwhelming. We have added some resources to the School Counseling web page to help families as they sort through their award letters to get to the ‘bottom line’. To access a comparison tool created by VSAC, click here; this link opens into an excel sheet/google sheet - you will need to make a copy of it if you wish to use this tool.  To view another VSAC tool as a resource for answers to questions regarding financial aid and interpreting award letters click here

Use the College Board website for official college planning and preparation.  You will find many tools there to help you succeed.
