Congratulations to the girls basketball teams as they both defeated Russia last night in the semifinals of the SCAL tournament. The 7th grade girls had a thrilling game and finished with a score of 26-15. The 8th grade dominated and ended with an explosive score of 83-6. Both teams will advance to the finals which will be played Monday at Ft. Loramie. The 7th will play at 6:00 and the 8th grade will follow at 7:15.
Congratulations to the 8th grade boys basketball team for finishing the season 16 -0 SCAL league champs after winning last night against Jackson Center. Riley Huelskamp had 17 points and Kameron Steward and Justin Murray each had 6 rebounds.
The 7th grade lost to Jackson 25-31 with Isaiah Masteller 8 points and Connor McKinney had 8 rebounds.7th grade regular season record was 10-6. They both begin tournament play tomorrow at Houston. The 7th grade will play at 10:00 against Ft. Loramie and the 8th will play at 12:15 against Fairlawn.
The Anna Livestock 4-H Club will hold its first meeting of the year this Sunday, January 31st at 7:00 pm in the Anna High School Cafeteria. Anyone in the 3rd grade or higher and at least 8 years old by January 1st may be a 4-H member. Anyone who is in kindergarten and is age 5 by January 1st may be a Cloverbud. The Middle School Student Council will be having a dance on Friday, February 12th from 7-9:30. The cost is $5. We currently have enough chaperones but we do still need refreshments and snacks. Please bring your donations to Ms. Folkert's room by Friday, Feb 12th. Thanks!
Any MS student that is at least 14 can take an application to work at Track Side Treats. Applications are available in the office.
The school store is open on today from 8:10-8:40AM.
Detentions will be held in the Mrs. Powell’s classroom today from 3:15-4:15.
The 6th grade will go on their incentive trip this afternoon to the Elder Threatre. Students, remember to show your good manners and that you are representing AMS.
