  • No Power of the Pen tonight. We will meet tomorrow morning at 7:20am at the west side of the building (7th grade doors).

  • We will have our Winter Pep Assembly today in the big gym starting at 2:40. Please bring all book bags and coats to leave from there for home. No phones will be allowed during the assembly.

  • There will be a track call-out meeting in Wednesday, January 29th at 8:15 in the big gym. This is for any 7th and 8th grade students interested in going out for track this spring.

  • Good Luck to our girls basketball teams as they play in the first round of the tournament tomorrow.

  • In Boys Basketball action last the 7th grade boys pulled off an overtime thriller over league rival Loramie 48-41! Aven Zimpfer hit 2 big FT’s to put the game into overtime.

  • 8th Grade also won last night 40-33. Titus Kress hit some big layups and Karter Pogue hit a few 3’s down the stretch to secure the “W”.

  • Catch them while their hot as they head into tournament play starting next Saturday at Russia!

  • 8th Grade: Bring $2.00 for bowling incentive to your Advisor teacher by Friday.

  • Science Olympiad: We have the Aux. gym SUNDAY from 2-4pm. Gliders and Parachute events must attend. Anyone else is welcome if you want to come in to work on your event independently or with your Event Coach.

  • Kettlersville Livestock 4-H club will have a meeting this Sunday, January 26, at 7:30 p.m., at the Kettlersville Firehouse. New members are welcome.

  • Mid-year Rewards: Each year, we have little rewards mid-year to celebrate and encourage students to keep working hard. Today, we will have a hot chocolate bar for those nominated by their teachers with having good character. Jan. 27th will be candy for those on honor roll.

  • Attention Student Council Members- Don’t forget to keep collecting songs for the Feb. dance. Talk to your friends and add songs to list!

  • FCCLA REMINDER: everyone in middle school FCCLA needs to bring in an old T-shirt that we could cut up to do a project during our January meeting. We will be making dog toys to donate to the Shelby County animal shelter.

  • Applications for Trackside Treats will be available in the school office. They would like the applications to be returned to them by the end of January.

  • The Math Counts meeting on February 3rd will be cancelled. All other Monday/Thursday practices are still on.
