• FCCLA REMINDER: everyone in middle school FCCLA needs to bring in an old T-shirt that we could cut up to do a project during our January meeting. We will be making dog toys to donate to the Shelby County animal shelter.

• Science Olympiad - Extra meetings this week

• Thursday 3:15 - 4:15 optional work session

• Friday 7:15-8am optional work session (ballers please come to this to pack)

• Friday 3:15-3:45 Mandatory Packing Meeting

  • Saturday is competition day, be here by 6:15 am

• Math Counts members: Please make your best effort to attend the meetings this week Monday (1/13) and Thursday (1/16) after school until 4:00. We will be doing our school practice competition to prepare for the real competition.

• The 2nd Annual Rockets Writing Contest is underway. Students can enter a short story, poetry collection or illustrated editions of their entries. Prizes will be awarded to the top entries from each age group. See Mrs. Rivera for more information and to pick up an entry form. All entries are due on January 17th to the IMC

• Applications for Trackside Treats will be available in the school office. They would like the applications to be returned to them by the end of January.

• Student Council- Tuesday, Feb. 4th @ 7:30 a.m. in Ms. Folkert’s room

• Book Club will meet Jan 15 to choose their next book
