  • Message from Mrs Hopkins Dear Families,   After a whole term of waiting, the Ofsted Inspection finally came this week! We had the phone call on Monday and the team of four inspectors arrived at 8am Tuesday morning and left at 5:30pm Wednesday - it was a very busy two days! I am delighted to tell you that it went very well and we are happy with the outcome. Sadly, I am unable to share the final grading just yet as the report has to undergo rigorous checks first. The final report should be with us in about 3-4 weeks so as soon as it does, I will let you know! During the two days, the children were absolutely brilliant and did us proud ...

  • Message from Mrs Hopkins What a fantastic week! We are so proud of the children and how well they have done in their performances this week. They have worked so hard on their singing, playing instruments and lines they have had to learn. Not only that, their behaviour has been impeccable, particularly the 340 children we walked to All Saints Church on Tuesday afternoon to hold our annual carol service. Thank you so much to all the parents that helped walk the children there and back and also for the fabulous turn out! As I always say: it means so much to the children when you come and watch them and they always do so much better when they know you are watching, so ...

  • Message from Mrs Hopkins We have had yet another exciting learning week here at Anglesey. I have spent quite a bit of time in Year 6 observing lessons this week and they have been learning how to make electrical switches and how this can be used to create a circuit to sound an alarm! There were many “oohs” and “aahhs” as bulbs lit up and buzzers sounded when all manner of different switches were connected! Even more excitement for Year 6 next week when 45 of our children go off on their Residential visit for a week to Laches Wood near Wolverhampton where they will be using a climbing wall and abseiling down it, BMXing and doing Archery to name just a few things ...
