Strategic Planning Update & Action Team Application-APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 4/10/17

Hello 5 Town Community Members-

Progress continues to be made toward the development of a strategic plan for ANESU/ANESD. Recently, the ANESU leadership team reviewed feedback from approximately 160 people on four draft goal statements.  These four draft goal statements were developed by the leadership team using input from staff, students and the community as well as information from the RBO process and the ANESU Vision, Mission and Ends.  

These goals will be the focus for the work of action teams.  Each goal will have an action team assigned to it.  The final goals and application to join an action team can be found by clicking the following links or word attachments below. I encourage everyone to join in the work of Shaping Our Future Together!

The Strategic Plan Steering Committee is nearly fully formed.  Its members will include faculty, staff, community, board, students and administrators.  The committees members and responsibilities are listed below.

ANESU Strategic Plan Steering Committee Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of the ANESU Strategic Plan

  • Ensure coherence, clarity and feasibility in action team’s work toward reaching our vision/mission and transforming education in ANESU.

  • Provide the necessary diverse lenses to support the transformation.

In order to do the above, SC will:

  • Review sample strategic plans to determine the best format for ANESU - keep a pros and cons list of plans they review in order to ensure ANESU plan reflects the pros.

  • Preview process, purpose, role (including review vision, mission, Ends and strategic goals.

  • Review monthly reports from each action team at each SC Mtg - in order to understand, provide any support, and stay true to intent of the goal.  In addition, to prevent redundancies and interweave similarities.
