Philosophy:

Physical Education is an integral part of the total education.  The primary aim of this program is the development of physically, mentally, emotionally and socially fit students through physical activities.  As per the core curriculum standards the students will learn the process of being physically fit, improve eye-hand coordination, work at controlling their bodies while in movement and while stationary, develop strength and endurance, explore basic skills, and practice the skills they learn in low organization games, using appropriate sportsmanship.
These objectives are achieved by the students participating in a variety of activities throughout the school year.  The activities may include but are not limited to  games designed to promote space awareness and safe movement, fitness concepts, throwing and catching with various pieces of equipment, dance, cooperative games, soccer skills, football skills, frisbees, gymnastics, track and field.
