I have taught in Anderson University's Religious Studies Department and in the School of Theology for nearly twenty-one years.  I cherish teaching as the calling on my life as a disciple of Jesus Christ. My teaching emphases and research interests include Theological Ethics, Ethics for the Vocation of Ministry, Christian Leadership in a Multi-ethnic Society, Race and Ethnicity, African-American Experience in American Christianity and Capitalism, and the orb of issues surrounding the biblical theme of reconciliation.

I am married to Barbara Kaye for nearly forty-one years, with two daughters, Andrea Nicole Streaty and Kimberli Chantrelle Lewis, both undergraduate and Masters' graduates of Anderson University. My wife and I treasure our two granddaughters, Ameris Joy Lewis and Nya Streaty.

I am an ordained minister of the Church of God (Anderson, IN), and my wife and I are accountable to the Sherman Street Church of God, Anderson, Indiana, where I serve as an Associate Minister and as a Greeter to all who enter.  In addition to my teaching and administrative responsibilities at the seminary, I find great joy in preaching, teaching, and serving in various capacities in the wider church community.  I serve on the Board of the Miriam Project, a church-based adoption agency; as President of the Executive Board of the Association of Doctor of Ministry Educators; and as Secretary of the Executive Committee of Faith and Order.
