As a staff and adjunct faculty member, it is a pleasure to help you know about me and how I might serve you through my work at Anderson University and the School of Theology. I began working for Anderson University in 1978. I have held positions as the first Human Resource director for the institution, director of auxiliary services, director of the Center for Christian Leadership and currently as director of student development for the School of Theology (since 2000 at the SOT). I have also served as an adjunct faculty member for the school since 1987 in the School of Adult learning, undergraduate division of Religious Studies, and the School of Theology.
I also serve Anderson University as the director of the Gustav Jeeninga Museum of Bible and Near Eastern Studies.
I teach and facilitate a number of courses in leadership, archaeology, and Bible. I additionally facilitate seminars regionally and nationally each year in the areas of personal mission and civic engagement. It is also my privilege to serve on the Board of Directors for St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson.
My educational background: BA '77 Anderson University; MA Religious Studies--Thesis '87 Anderson University School of Theology; Certified Manager's Distinction '90 Institute of Certified Professional Managers. Additionally, I was trained by the Center for Creative Leadership through a program initiated by the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation in the area of community coalition building.
I have also written Four Seasons of Leadership (third printing); Discovering You (on Emotional Intelligence) with Dr. Rebecca Haskett; GodQuest (a children's student guide); a chapter on D.O. Teasley for the book, The Gospel Trumpet Years (Church of God Historical Society) and many curricular pieces for the Center for Christian Leadership (Anderson University School of Theology: http://www.anderson.edu/sot/ccl ).
