Making gMail your Mail Handler in Google Chrome

When using gMail for the first time you may notice that when you click on a mailto link on the web, nothing happens or a program you don't use for email tries to open to send the message.  This is why you need to set gMail as your default handler for 'mailto:' links on the web.

To do this you open Google Chrome and log into your gMail account.  You will see double diamonds in the far right of the Omnibox.  Click on those.  Select gMail or your apps domain account and click 'done.'

Now when you click on a mail link on the web, gMail will open a message ready to send to the selected recipient.
