Weekly Update: September 25^th to 29^th

Math- Numbers to 1,000 (Chapter 2)!

~Daily Timed Tests: students must be fluent in basic math facts!

~ PLEASE spend time practicing basic addition facts!

Science: This week we will Dig Deep into Earth Science.

Language Arts:

Reading- We will discuss Questioning; good readers ask questions before, during, and after reading. Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How.

Tip: The goal by the end of the school year is for your child to be comfortably reading at level L or M.

Please make reading with your children at home a priority this year!! It will make a world of difference in the years to come.

Writing- Narrative Writing: Brainstorm/Prewrite, Draft, Revise, Edit, Publish our first personal narrative is complete! The new will review all the steps and begin to write a second personal narrative!

Grammar- We will study to plural nouns and irregular plural nouns!

Spelling/Phonics- This week’s words have long a vowel sound.
