Weekly Update: October 30 to November 3

* Tuesday: Halloween, come dressed in costume from home
* Tuesday: Parents are invited to our Halloween parade 1:30 on the covered court.

Math- Basic Facts and Relationships (Chapter 3)

~Daily Timed Tests: students must be fluent in basic math facts!
~ PLEASE spend time practicing basic addition facts!

Social Studies: Things change over time! This Social Studies unit will teach students how life changes over time. How the past is different from the present in many ways.
Language Arts:
Reading- We will continue studying Context Clues.
Tip: The goal by the end of the school year is for your child to be comfortably reading at level L or M.
Please make reading with your children at home a priority this year!! It will make a world of difference in the years to come.
Writing- Writing About Reading (opinion writing), students will learn to write an opinion piece about a book they have read.
Grammar- We will review and test POSSESSIVE and REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS
Spelling/Phonics- This week the words have a long u vowel sound. Please study 5 minutes daily!
