Weekly Update: October 2nd to 6th
o Fiesta Catracha Tuesday, October 3rd, Come dressed in “traje tipico”
o NO School Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Oct. 4, 5, 6)
o Classes resume Monday, October 9th
o End of the quarter Spelling Bee…study ALL spelling lists from Q1.
Math- Numbers to 1,000 (Chapter 2)!
~Daily Timed Tests: students must be fluent in basic math facts!
~ PLEASE spend time practicing basic addition facts!

Science: This week we will Dig Deep into Earth Science.
Tectonic Plates, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Erosion, Weathering, Layers of the Earth
Language Arts:
Reading- We will discuss Problem and Solution. Tip: The goal by the end of the school year is for your child to be comfortably reading at level L or M.
Please make reading with your children at home a priority this year!! It will make a world of difference in the years to come.
Writing- Narrative Writing: Brainstorm/Pre-write, Draft, Revise, Edit, Publish our first personal narrative is complete! The new will review all the steps and begin to write a second personal narrative!
Grammar- We will study to plural nouns and irregular plural nouns!
Spelling/Phonics- This there are no new words! Enjoy your long holiday!
