Weekly Update:
November 20th to 24th
· Thanksgiving Holiday will be Thursday and Friday
· School will resume Monday, November 27th
Math- 2-Digit Addition!!
Students MUST know what makes ten!!

~Daily Timed Tests: students must be fluent in basic math facts!
~ PLEASE spend time practicing basic addition facts!

Math IXL for this week:
NONE … eat turkey!
Social Studies: We end our study of “Change Over Time”
Science: “Hey Kid What’s the Matter?” We will begin our study of physical science!
Language Arts:
Reading- We will continue studying Context Clues as well as review ALL skills to this point in the school year.
Tip: The goal by the end of the school year is for your child to be comfortably reading at level L or M.
Please make reading with your children at home a priority this year!! It will make a world of difference in the years to come.
Writing- Writing About Reading (opinion writing), students will learn to write an opinion piece about a book they have read.
Grammar- We will review IRREGULAR VERBS
Spelling/Phonics- This week there are NO WORDS. Enjoy your long weekend!
