Weekly Update: January 29 to February 2
Reminders:
~Monday: 100th day of school, bring or wear 100 things, or dress up as a 100 year old person! Be creative, have fun!
~Wednesday: Parent talk at 12:00...see the flyers at the bottom of this post
~Friday: Late Start, students should be at school at 9:15 or 9:20. School begins at 9:30.
~Valentine Candy Grams: don't forget to send in your money if you want to send someone a Valentine Candy Gram!
Math: Chapter 5 2-Digit Subtraction! We are learning more than one strategy to subtract 2-digit numbers.

Reading: Cinderella Unit Students will compare different versions of the same story, and also continue summarizing.
Please practice at home all of the skills when reading together.
Raz - Kids: Please record your voice at least 2 times this week. Make sure you are reading every single day, even if it is not in Raz-Kids! We are half way to third grade! Reading is important!
Make sure your child is reading on a daily basis even if it is not required to send evidence of daily reading to school.
Spelling: This week's words have an "au/aw vowel digraph"
Writing: Writing Biography - Research Paper. Students will finish their writing of a famous person. We will then move on to Writing Lab Reports
Grammar: adjectives and adverbs continued
Social Studies: Grid Maps. Students will learn to read and then create their very own Grid Map.
