~Monday, January 15: Send report cards back signed please! Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!
~Wednesday, January 17: Early Dismissal 12:30 P.M.
AST MUSICAL for boys and girls! So much fun!
Auditions: Friday, January 19th right after school in the Multipurpose Room
Math: Begin Chapter 5 2-Digit Subtraction!

Reading: Sequencing, comparing books of the same author, and summarizing.
Please practice at home all of the skills when reading together.
Raz - Kids: Please record your voice at least 2 times this week. Make sure you are reading every single day, even if it is not in Raz-Kids! We are half way to third grade! Reading is important!
Make sure your child is reading on a daily basis even if it is not required to send evidence of daily reading to school.
Writing: Writing Biography - Research Paper. Students are researching a famous person and then will write about that person.
Grammar: adjectives and adverbs.
Spelling: This week's words have an s blend. Please study 5 minutes each night.
Science: Continents, Oceans, Hemispheres, Compass Rose, Prime Meridian, and Equator - Test on Tuesday! Please review - they have a packet they can use to practice.
