Weekly Update: February 12 to 16

Reminders:

~Wednesday, Feb. 14th: Free Colors Day. Happy Valentine's Day

~Thursday, Feb. 15th: Biography Presentations (bring something small or dress like your person, be creative, don't buy anything)

~Monday, Feb. 19th NO SCHOOL

Math: CONTINUED Chapter 5 2-Digit Subtraction! We are learning more than one strategy to subtract 2-digit numbers.

IXL: We will work in class this week! No IXL Homework!

Reading: We will read about Science as well as continue our Cinderella

Cinderella Unit Students will compare different versions of the same story, and also continue summarizing.

Please practice at home all of the skills when reading together.

Raz - Kids: Please record your voice at least 2 times this week. Make sure you are reading every single day, even if it is not in Raz-Kids! We are half way to third grade! Reading is important!

Make sure your child is reading on a daily basis even if it is not required to send evidence of daily reading to school.

Spelling: This week's words have an "oy/oi vowel digraphs"

Writing: SUPER HERO stories!

We are learning to write Lab Reports!

Grammar: PRONOUNS

Science: Why is science important? What do scientists do?
