Weekly Update: April 2 to 6

Monday, April 2nd: NO SCHOOL
Tuesday, April 3rd: Back to school!
Wednesday, April 4th: Spelling Bee written Test!
Friday, April 6th: SPELLING BEE! AND P.T.O. Movie at 6:00 p.m. - COCO
Math: We will review and finish our study of Addition and Subtraction of 3-Digit Numbers (Chapter 6) and then we will begin Geometry (Chapter 11) - 3D and 2D shapes!
IXL: This week IXL will be assigned only if IXL is not completed in class this week or if the extra practice is necessary. For review at home, you may work on any skill in second grade letter U.
Reading: Every day we will reading an article or short reading passage a day to practice fluency and reading comprehension.
This week's chapter book Read Aloud: Stink the Incredible Shrinking Kid by Megan McDonald
Please practice at home all of the skills when reading together.
Please record yourself reading 2 or 3 times a week!!!
We are getting close to our end of year reading test! Reading aloud is a big part of this test! Practice!!!
Make sure your child is reading on a daily basis even if it is not required to send evidence of daily reading to school.
Writing: POETRY!
Grammar: Continue reviewing all skills this week.
Spelling: Spelling Bee week! Written test on Wednesday and Spelling Bee on Friday!
Social Studies: Economy Unit! FUN!
