Temple Degree Initiations

The Rosicrucian Order, AMORC is an Initiatic Order and our studies provide initiation instructions for our home studies as we progress through our lessons. However, one of the greatest benefits of being a Rosicrucian Student is the wonderful opportunity and privilege of being initiated into the temple degrees at a Lodge.

Temple Degree Initiations are sacred rituals in which mystical laws and principles are conveyed in a dramatic way to inspire us and to impress upon our minds new mystical knowledge that we might not otherwise attain. These are milestones in a Rosicrucian Student’s life, marking progress along the spiritual path.

Rosicrucian Temple Degree Initiations are offered each month in the Lodges across the English Grand Lodge jurisdiction. Although we do not have any Lodges in our Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest Region, all active Members of AMORC are eligible to receive these illuminating and inspiring initiations at any Lodge they wish.

Every year, the cycle of initiations begins in April with the First Temple Degree Initiation and ends the following March with an Initiation which is conferred by our Most Venerable Grand Master, Soror Julie Scott. All initiations must be taken in order (though not necessarily in the same year). Please consider attending these Initiations if you have reached or surpassed the corresponding degree in your studies. Please note these in-person initiations are in addition to the initiations provided for your home studies at the beginning of each new Temple Degree in your monographs.

Although initiation in a Rosicrucian Temple is an optional part of your membership, it is highly recommended, for our AMORC lessons tell us that “initiations cause students to engage in introspection, and engender within them a feeling of aspiration and idealism and extract from them a promise to themselves that they would try to fulfill their aspirations.”
