Welcome to the Brebeuf Jesuit Community Service Page

“Volunteer work with and for the poor helps young people to live in solidarity with others and find meaning in and direction for their lives.” (GC 35, III, 23)

In 1973, the former Superior General of the Society of Jesus, Pedro Arrupe, SJ, challenged students and alumni of Jesuit institutions to be men and women for others.  Brebeuf Jesuit is deeply committed to promoting a faith that does justice, as evidenced by, among other things, a requirement that each student complete community service with a marginalized or impoverished population.

Through service, reflection, education, and advocacy the Community Service Department promotes the formation that Fr. Arrupe challenged us to bring forth in our students.
