From time to time we do have students on placement that will always be supervised by a fully trained member of staff.  Parents are informed of this as and when it happens.
The staff undertakes training in order that they keep up to date with changes made within the educational system with respect to pre-schools and early year’s development. This also includes first aid and child protection training.
All members of Staff, placements and Committee Members are DBS checked.
Each child has a nominated “Key Worker” who ensures their Learning Journals are kept up to date and follows their development progress closely.
Amber Pre-School Committee

The Pre-School is managed by a Committee made up of parents assisted by very clear guidance from the Pre-School Learning Alliance. New members are always welcomed. We ask all parents to contribute in some way to the running of the Pre-School, whether it is as a member of the committee, fundraising team or at fundraising events.

We ask everyone to support our fundraising events so that we can continue to provide excellent facilities for the children.

Committee Meetings are held each half term at the home of a Committee member. All information regarding the Committee is displayed on the notice board or is available on the website.

The Committee and Pre-School staff ensure there are relevant policies and procedures in place. These are available on the Pre-School website and are available upon request. These include health + safety, administering medicines, individual needs, admissions + safeguarding children policies. If parents wish to discuss specific policies they should contact the Pre-School Manager or Chair of the Committee.
