Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are very excited and thrilled to work with our technology department, our staff, our students and families, as we continue to implement our district one-to-one Chromebook initiative.  Much planning has gotten us to the point where we are presently with this implementation process. We began the process with the sixth grade class in the 2016-2017 school year. We then issued Chromebooks to the entire middle school in the 2017-2018 school year.  This year, all students in grades six through twelve will have a personal Chromebook to use at school and at home.

The staff and the students have utilized Chromebooks over the past couple of years and have given the technology department valuable feedback.  This feedback has been used to ensure that the highest quality and most efficient Chromebooks were purchased for our students. A new design of the Chromebook case was purchased for our sixth grade and high school students this year due to the feedback we received from our students.

Technology is constantly changing and Amanda-Clearcreek School District is constantly working to provide 21st century skills.  These Chromebooks allow teachers to create lessons where technology is embedded daily in classrooms.

This innovative approach of teaching will help prepare our students to be college and career ready upon graduation from high school.
