I am the K-12 Counselor for USD 387.  Most of my duties are at Altoona-Midway MS/HS.  I am, however, at Altoona-Midway Elementary School on Monday and Friday mornings.  I also sponsor National Honor Society and co-sponsor the Senior Class.    It's "crazy busy" sometimes, but I really enjoy working with the students.
My education and employment history have led me to this point in my career.  I graduated from Friends University with a B.S. degree and from Fort Hays State University with a M.S. degree.  I taught Home Economics at Andale High School for ten years, and have 8 years of school counseling experience.  After being a full-time mother for a period of time, I re-entered the work force.  I had the privilege of working for several non-profit organizations.  These organizations were youth focused, and the experiences there have definitely served me well in public education.  I'm so pleased to be where I am today!!
My husband and I have two children, Jared and Ashlee; both are married.  We also enjoy three young grand-children, who keep us on the go when we get together.
In summary, life is one adventure after another; life is good!!!
