Project Description

The Alton School District is constructing a new outdoor athletic      complex on the current Alton High School campus.  The Board of    Education has committed $2 million to the project but an additional $2  million must be raised within the community to ensure the project's first-    class completion.

As part of the proposed project, the following will be constructed at    the new athletic complex:

  • Varsity baseball stadium
  • Competition soccer field (boys and girls)
  • Eight-lane all weather track
  • Concession stand and restrooms
  • Two practice fields
  • Home and Visitor locker rooms
  • Cross Country running course
  • Infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, curbs, gutters
  • Outdoor seating at all venues
  • Second concession stand and restroom located near existing softball and practice fields
  • Irrigation systems for proper maintenance
  • Fencing and landscaping
  • Batting cages
  • Complex and pathway lighting
  • Ample parking
In order to provide corporations, businesses, organizations, families, and individuals with a tangible return through investing in the athletic project, the Board of Education is offering sponsorship and naming opportunities.  Through this effort, contributors giving at certain levels will receive the right to name particular fields, facilities or other infrastructure.
