Meet Mr. E

I earned a bachelor's degree in Physics from Brigham Young University, and a master's degree in Instructional Technology from Utah State University.  I was one of the original teachers at Lone Peak High School when it opened.  While I currently teach Astronomy, Physics, and AP Physics, I have also taught the following classes in the past:  Algebra 2, Chemistry, and Meteorology while at LPHS. I also teach two BYU Independent Study High School science courses--General Physical Science & Astronomy.

I have received numerous teaching awards.  Most recently, these include the 2016 Paul W. Zitzewitz Award for Excellence in K12 Physics Teaching, 2016 AAPT Fellow Award, 2015 Accent on Excellence, and the 2014 Utah Outstanding Physics Teacher Award.

Lone Peak HS was awarded the Utah Outstanding High School Science Department Award by the Utah Science Teachers Association in 2014.
