About Miss Granstrand

I am from Westfield, NJ. Most of family lives on the east coast but I am so happy to learn about Chicago! I have three younger brothers in college this year and I love the New York Mets (as rough as that can be). I attended Catholic school all my life and am thrilled to teach at AACA. I was graduated from Providence College in 2009 (Go Friars!) and worked in New York City at a literary non-profit for two years. This is my second year co-teaching at AACA and I am thrilled to teach with Mrs. Pasquesi again.

In June, I will complete my Masters in Elementary Education at Loyola University in the LU-Choice program. LU-CHOICE is a two-year service program with the mission of advancing, developing, and sustaining Catholic education by placing its members as teachers in elementary classrooms throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago. I am so excited to have another great year in second grade

About Mrs. Pasquesi

My name is Clare (Kizer) Pasquesi.  I grew up in Omaha, NE, and am from a large family!  I have 4 older siblings, who are married with kids.  I graduated from the University of Notre Dame- Go Irish.  Then I went on to get my Masters in Education through the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) at Notre Dame.  The ACE program is a two year service-teaching Masters in Education program, just like the LU-Choice program.  This upcoming year will be my sixth year teaching.  I taught second grade for two years in Jackson, MS, while I was in the ACE program.  I moved to Chicago and started by teaching preschool at AACA in 2009 as Miss Kizer.  I am really excited to have some of the students from my first preschool class, in 203 this year.  I love being a part of this wonderful community.  It has been a dream working with Miss Granstrand in second grade; we work very well together.

We are both very excited to watch these second grade students grow and change throughout the year!
