USATF Region 4 Junior Olympic Outdoor Track & Field Championships

USATF National Qualifiers!

At the USATF Region 4 championships this weekend, brothers Brandon and Davis Tardif both qualified (top 5 finish) for the national championships in their respective age divisions in the 2000m steeplechase (yes, the one with the water jump and [almost] insurmountable barriers). Congratulations!

• • 17-18, 2nd place, Brandon Tardif, 7:02.23

  • 15-16, 3rd place, Davis Tardif, 7:21.40

Both Brandon and Davis will be competing in the national championships in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Thursday, July 25, at 2:30 pm. Good luck!

USATF Region 4 Championships

In addition to Brandon and Davis, we had two other Alpha Crush athletes who competed this weekend.

Heidi Heppner, in the 8 & under girls, had a strong showing in both the 800m on Friday and 1500m on Sunday.

• • 800m, 8 & under girls, 13th place, 3:26.63

  • 1500m, 6th place, 6:31.65 (just missed qualifying for nationals by 12.4 seconds!)

Timmy Cole, in the 8 & under boys, set a new personal best in the 1500m. As Timmy would say, a new "high score!"
