Advancement Notes
It's a bit unclear at this time who is eligible to advance. It started with Top 5, then Top 6, then announcements over the loudspeakers at the meet said that it would be the Top 8 (for Multi-Events only.) Then, they announced that qualifiers that made it through "other means" (national qualifiers from other meets that get automatic byes) would only be counted as exhibition athletes, giving more "room" for other athletes to advance. Hopefully, an official advancement list will be made available by Tuesday or Wednesday. The bottom line is that the GA Association is trying to send as many athletes as possible to the Region 3 championships.
