The GIS lab has moved to the newly renovated second floor of Carr Hall. The Richard J Cook Center for Environmental Science was finished summer of 2012 to create space for the growing Environmental Science department at Allegheny College. New and exciting features of the department include an Aquaponics lab and a GIS lab. The GIS lab is fitted with 25 computers, a SMART board, and wide-format scanner and plotter. All of this new hardware will aid students to produce exceptional GIS maps, a skill which is exceedingly important to the growing environmental science field.
