I grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago in Des Plaines, IL. In 2005 I graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY with a B.S., double majoring in chemistry and biology. From 2005 to 2010 I worked with Professor David Glueck at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH to earn my Ph.D. in chemistry studying asymmetric homogeneous catalysis.  Following that I taught at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY as a visiting assistant professor from 2010 to 2012 before moving with my family to Meadville, PA to teach and do research as an assistant professor at Allegheny College.
