8th grade 4 year plans are due to the office by FRIDAY.

Friday is 4th quarter, midterm 1. You will need to be at 35% of your AR goal.

There will be a meeting on Friday during homeroom in the lunchroom for any 8th grade girls interested in golf for next spring. (a year from now) Please report there after attendance and announcements.

This Friday, March 31, is the Middle School Semi Formal, 7:00-10:00pm. It will be in the Middle School gym. Shoes will not be allowed on the floor, so plan to bring a pair of socks. Admission is $5.00 and concessions will be available. This is for WAUKON MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY. Please have your ride here to pick you up promptly at 9:55. Mr. Rausch will once again be playing the hits.

If you are planning to attend Family Chess Night next Thursday, April 6th please have your RSVP signed and returned to DJ Scholtes in the 10th hour room today. If you do not have it he will accept them through Friday of this week.

Again, the Family Chess Night will be April 6th from 4:45pm-7:00pm. You will learn how to play chess, all the way from the basics of the game to advanced strategies. There will be pizza and pop provided by the program. It is a fun evening!

The Northeast Iowa Family STEM Festival will be Thursday, April 13th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Luther College's Center for the Arts. This event is an open-house format with over 25 fun STEM related activities. Make plans to attend with your family!

Please put money in your lunch account or take care of any other office business in the morning before 1st hour. Keep track of your lunch tickets! You need to have your lunch ticket when you go through the lunch line, if not, you need to be at the end of the line and you are not to take extras or a la carte. This rule is for everyone to follow.

Due to the Federal Government's Healthy Kids Act, students need to take the items listed on the breakfast menu OR an Egg Sandwich and juice or fruit, to be counted as the reimbursable (free & reduced) breakfast. If in doubt, ask the cooks or check the dry erase board @ HS or the 'example tray' @ JH both of those are located at the beginning of the line every morning.

Students:  Please keep your lunch account balance current.  Anyone who has a $10 negative lunch balance will not be allowed to take a tray.  You may either bring a sack lunch or receive a peanut butter sandwich, fruit, and milk for your lunch until your account is in good standing.
