Here at Al-Huda Academy, we believe that active bodies help support and develop active minds. Physical education is a crucial component of any learning environment, and we are excited to provide a fun and active curriculum that will, insha Allah, contribute to our students' academic success.

Our physical education curriculum focuses on five main components: exercise, nutrition, game strategy, team sports and sportsmanship, and the importance of physical activity and nutrition in Islam. The final component will be taught through the Seerah and teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him). After all, exercise is a form of ibadah!

Students attend one forty minute P.E. class each week. During each P.E. unit, students complete one or more of the following:

  •     Participate in strength and fitness development activites
  •     Work together with partners, small groups, and teams
  •     Demonstrate an understanding of game strategy and the way in which individual roles form a team
  •     Study the basics of diet and nutrition
  •     Cultivate a spirit of sportsmanship and peer support

It is our hope that our students will conclude this year with a love of exercise, healthy habits, and a new connection to Islam and our Prophet (peace be upon him).
