Hello! I'm Sheila Stecker. I am originally from Bancroft, Iowa and graduated from Buena Vista University. From there, I began my teaching career in First Grade at Mt. Carmel (near Carroll, Iowa). I taught there one year and then began teaching kindergarten at Titonka, where I spent 20 years (all of those in kindergarten). With the change in our school structure, I began my teaching career in Algona with the 2013-14 school year. This is my fourth year here at Bertha Godfrey.
I am married to Bob, who is an RN at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Mankato. We have been blessed with two children. Our oldest, Abigail, graduated from AHS in May 2013 and is in her senior year at UNI majoring in Communication Disorders. She will then go on to grad school for Speech Pathology. Our second child, Kyle, graduated from AHS in 2015 and is in his sophomore year at ILCC majoring in Ag Productions Technologies. Enjoy your children when they are little; they grow up way too fast!!
In my free time, I am an avid scrapbooker and love taking pictures to fill them. I also enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
This site will be a work in progress .
Thank you for your patience.
Please continue to check back. =)
