Come join us for the JCC's Earth Day Community Celebration!

Sunday, April 27, 1-4:00 pm: come to a lively, creative and green day at the JCC! The JCC's award-winning Earth Day Community Celebration, co-sponsored by the Indianapolis Power & Light and Citizens Energy Group, promotes good stewardship of our planet by engaging visitors in projects, activities and demonstrations. This FREE family-friendly event is a great way to spend an afternoon outdoors.

More than 50 exhibitors from organizations across the state will present education activities that explore environmental topics ranging from repurposing materials to understanding the earthworm's vital role in the soil; and from hydroponic gardening to alternative energy sources. visitors can take part in a scavenger hunt, color a t-shirt, make crafts from recycled materials (such as terrariums, flower  posts with seedlings and paper flowers). Kids and adults can pedal a bike to power a light bulb and enjoy a free bag of "solar powered" popcorn. These are just some of the many activities at the JCC's Earth Day community Celebration have been planned to inspire children and adults to love and protect our environment.

Visitor s are encouraged to bring electronic items for recycling - we will accept anything with a cord.

What's a celebration without music, food trucks, vendors and opportunities to win prizes? There will be all that and more at the JCC's Earth Day Community Celebration on Sunday, April 27th, at the Arthur M. Glick JCC, 6701 Hoover Road, on the north side of Indianapolis. Plenty of FREE parking available!
