About Mr. Royse

My name is Justin Royse, and I am the middle school math teacher. I joined Alta Loma Christian School in 2007 as the PE teacher for grades K-8, and with God’s guidance and blessing have gradually transitioned inside the classroom. Although I spent my first two years of college studying Computer Science, which I began studying in high school, I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Marketing. In 2011 I earned my Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership at California Baptist University, and I also hold an ACSI Professional Certificate. In addition to my studies and work experience here at ALCS, I also spent several years as an after-school tutor for elementary and middle school students at the Boys and Girls Club of Pomona, and I also often coach our boys’ basketball team during the year.

The 2015-2016 school year will be my sixth year as a classroom teacher, and I am excited to work with your children to add a sense of excitement and appreciation for God’s amazing system of numbers as well as the increasingly powerful resources of technology. Although math is my official subject in the classroom, it falls second to my primary objective of growing the spirits and hearts of my students and leading them to become more responsible and respectful young women and men of God. I feel the Lord has prepared me through my studies in computer science/math, business, and education, as well as through my teaching experience in the last eight years here at ALCS, to meet the classroom needs of the students.  I truly love our students and families, and I look forward to witnessing another year of God’s grace and blessings over His school.

In Christ,

Justin Royse
