About Mrs. Perez

My name is Christine Perez and I am ecstatically looking forward to being your fourth grade teacher this year.  We will have a magnificent school year together, filled with lots of fun and exciting new experiences. Fourth grade is an exciting year, and I have many challenging, engaging lessons and activities planned for you!  We will study the state of California, and I am very excited that we will be traveling to Sacramento to visit our state capital! This year will also be a great time for your own growth as a student.  You will realize that you are truly capable of accomplishing anything God sets before you as you grow in your faith and learn to trust Him even more.

Let me start out by telling you a little bit about myself.  First, I absolutely love to teach! I am grateful that God has blessed me with many opportunities that have brought me to you! This will be my fifth year teaching and my third year teaching fourth grade.  My first two years I taught 2nd grade.  I attended the University of La Verne where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Child Development and my Masters of Education degree.  I also hold an ACSI Teaching Certificate.

We love extracurricular activities; some of my favorites include being outdoors and sports, especially volleyball and softball.  I love scrap booking, going to the movies, and reading my daily devotionals.  When I was growing up, my family and I enjoyed traveling, going to the river to water ski, and having family BBQ’s by the pool at home.  Some of the extracurricular activities that I have taught are physical education, and basic computer technology.  For my Master’s Thesis, I created a Christian based bullying prevention program for grades K-6, called “Good Choices.”

I have a wonderful new “little man” in my life, my precious son Nathan!  He turned 6 months old on June 30, and he is continuing to grow so fast!  He is my dearest blessing from God…. And my deepest pride and joy! He makes me laugh and smile every single day. My husband, Richard, and I are having so much fun with him, and we adore being his parents.  He does something new and cute every day.  I am a very proud mommy!

I am looking forward to our upcoming school year and all the blessings, learning, growing, exploring and educational adventures we will share!
