Alaska Freegold's mission is to discover  and develop valuable ore deposits, particularly gold, diamonds and other gemstones, and platinum group metals, in Alaska. Alaska Freegold is concentrating on the identification, evaluation, and acquisition, on favorable terms, of properties and projects which it expects can achieve early cash flow which can then be used to fund the Company's activities, as well as provide asset and earnings growth. The target projects share the following attributes:

  • producing or former-producing properties with significant reserve potential and/or cost reduction scope as a result of technological advances and improvements in efficiency;
  • advanced development projects which have rapid production potential; and
  • properties favorably located in terms of infrastructure and location.

The company's intent is to position itself for active participation in the dynamic growth which began in Alaska during the latter part of the 1990's, and continues to grow in this decade, and especially on the Alaska gold, diamond, and platinum discoveries in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Our current active projects are Waterstone, Cache Creek-The Blue Channel Project, and the Blue Ribbon Mine, all located in the Yentna-Chulitna Mineral Belt of Alaska. We welcome property submittals, tips, and proposals.

We're not just about Alaska gold mining. We are developing Cultural Tours in cooperation with local museums and community groups, focused on the contribution that Alaska gold mining has and continues to have on the Matanuska-Susitna Valleys and the rest of Alaska. We work with Community Schools and others to educate the public about the importance of mining. And we are exploring the market for "value-added" uses of products made from the minerals of our projects.

Yentna Mineral Belt Alaska

The Yentna Mineral Belt of Alaska is one of Alaska's most under explored mineralized regions.

 The region has:

  • A long history of gold mining.
  • Major deposits including: Cache Creek, Nugget Creek, The Blue Channel Project, The Blue Ribbon Mine, Bird Creek, Waterstone, Peters Creek, and others.
  • There has recently emerged previously-unreported evidence of potential platinum group metals, diamonds, and skarns.
  • Numerous old mines and prospects that have received limited to no modern exploration.
  • A government sponsored exploration program of geophysical and geological data collection and dissemination, as well as tax breaks and other compensation.
  • Excellent state and local infrastructure and political climate and access.
  • Mainly state land.

Alaska Freegold has focused on the Yentna Mineral Belt and has a very strong land position in the region, holding significant exploration rights. The Company has an enthusiastic technical team and has been very successful and aggressive in identifying and obtaining valuable exploration opportunities.

Alaska Freegold seeks:

  • Joint ventures from Companies seeking quality opportunities in the Yentna Mineral Belt.
  • A strategic alliance with a major group considering entry into the Yentna Mineral Belt.
  • Individuals and companies interested in participating in the emergence of a significant resource area.
  • Individuals and companies interested in participating in exchange for a share of the company or other compensation.
